The program “3+1. Formula of Harmony” is truly unusual and unique, as it reveals a new, unexpected side of the saxophone. We are already accustomed to hearing this instrument solo, in a classical quartet, or in an orchestral group. But here the saxophone will be performed in a trio, either as a saxophone trio or with piano, and as a duet.
The concert program offers a wide palette of colors, styles, and eras. It includes the charm of Dmitri Shostakovich, the magic of Maurice Ravel, paraphrases by Jun Nagao, the flavor of world music in the works of Guillermo Lago, the rhythms of jazz, and much, much more. As always, there will be numerous premieres, including Belarusian music by Viktor Timofeev. This evening will be a true musical discovery for every audience member!
