The name of Muslim Magomayev was known to almost every resident of the Soviet Union. The singer’s popularity was incredible: his songs were constantly played on the radio and television, his concerts gathered stadiums with thousands of people, and his records were released in millions of copies. The performer's repertoire includes over 600 works: arias, romances, pop songs. A magnificent voice, excellent appearance, popular love, fame and some mystery...

Time, constantly eluding us, sometimes returns. Music, uniting different generations, helps with this.

The Belarusian State Philharmonic invites spectators to the Small Hall n.a. G. Shirma on May 24, 2025 for a concert “The Light of a Distant Star” dedicated to the People’s Artist of the USSR Muslim Magomayev.

The best songs, romances and arias from the repertoire of the outstanding artist will be performed by 4 wonderful baritones – laureates and diploma winners of international and national competitions, soloists of the Belarusian State Philharmonic Dmitry Gaidukov, Maxim Obrovets, Vladislav Danilovich and Ivan Kruchko – “Melody”, “Thank you”, “Ferret’s Wheel”, “Wedding”, “Don’t hurry”, “Queen of Beaty, “Oh, sea, sea” and many other popular songs, as well as famous arias and duets.
