On May 15, the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus will present a concert program under the motto “Playing for the First Time!” on the stage of the Belarusian State Philharmonic. All the works announced in the program will be performed for the first time in Belarus:
- Rondo from Symphony No.3 by the outstanding Czech composer of the 20th century Bohuslav Martinů;
- “Music for Strings, Trumpets and Percussion” by Grażyna Bacewicz, the first Polish female composer to receive international recognition;
- Concerto for violin and orchestra by one of the greatest English composers of the 20th century Benjamin Britten. The violin solo will be performed by Marina Novak.
The conductor will be People’s Artist of Belarus Alexander Anisimov.
