Wang Binxian is a young pianist from Sichuan Province whose performances are popular both in China and Europe. He has performed in many famous concert halls, such as the Chongqing Grand Theatre, the Sichuan Conservatory of Music Hall, the Yichang Theatre, the Yangtze River University Conservatory of Music Hall, the Amsterdam Concert Hall, the Vienna Schönbrunn Palace, and others. As a principal pianist at the Sichuan Conservatory of Music, he has successfully performed the premiere of Zhao Jinping’s opera “Silk Road Fantasy” for piano and flute, collaborated with the Guiyang Symphony Orchestra and conductor Zhang Guoyong in the Yellow River Piano Concerto, and with the Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Zubin Mehta in the Rachmaninoff Concerto. With the Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra conducted by Arvo Volmer, the pianist performed Shostakovich’s Second and Third Piano Concertos. Wang Binxian is also a guest artist of the Piano Society of the European Union.
Wang Binxian has won a number of national and international awards, including the finalist award at the 17th Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition. Chopin, the first gold award of the Yamaha Piano Competition, the highest award in the field of Chinese music “Golden Bell Award”, the first prize of the selection competition, and was also shortlisted for the national piano competition. He won the first place in the National Piano Competition of Chinese Youth “Golden Bell Awards” organized by the Chinese Musicians Association in 2017. His teachers include famous pianists Deng Taishan, Shi Shucheng and Deng Zh.
